NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Another family who lost a son in a police-involved shooting is speaking out and calling for justice.

We visited the Mason’s Addition home where Deangelo Evans lived.

His mother, Beverley Lee, says she’s hopeful after the Coroner’s Court issued arrest warrants for three policemen after they failed to appear in court.

Eleven policemen whom jurors found unlawfully killed suspects during police-involved shootings did show up and were ordered to return to court on September 25th.

Sitting on the steps of their home, Lee told us it’s a start.

Lee, along with other family members of those killed by police, were visibly emotional outside of court on Wednesday.

They say the heavy police presence at court was triggering for those that were there.

Lee also encouraged other families going through similar situations to keep fighting.
