NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A judge has refused to remove an ankle bracelet from a corrections officer accused of conspiracy to commit murder.
NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A judge has refused to remove an ankle bracelet from a corrections officer accused of conspiracy to commit murder.
Shante Taylor, accused of luring murder victim Elvardo Thompson to her Pinecrest Drive home on July 20, claims the ankle bracelet will interfere with her education.
Taylor complained that the bulky tracking device is too conspicuous. So, her lawyer Cassie Bethell, asked for it to be removed.
But Justice Neil Brathwaite said wearing an ankle bracelet was not a matter of convenience, but to ensure that Taylor showed up for her trial.
Taylor spent one day in custody before she was granted $20,000 emergency bail on August 13.
