NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A seven-run rally in the fifth inning gave Team Bahamas another lopsided win and a 2-0 record at u-15 Caribbean Baseball Cup.

The home team capped night two at the Andre Rodgers National Stadium with an 11-1 win over the U.S. Virgin Islands.

With The Bahamas leading 9-1, Khayle Watkins scored on a pass ball and Javan Smith followed closely behind to clinch the 10 run lead after five innings.

Smith said he made the judgement call when he saw the opportunity to score.

Watkins went 2-3 and has been one of the many offensive bright spots for Team Bahamas.

Marlon Bostwick Jr. went 2-2 with a triple and was a standout defensively in shortstop.

The Bahamas has won its two games via the 10 run mercy rule but face a much tougher test tonight against undefeated Cuba.

Cuba defeated St. Marteen 13-1 and the USVI 12-0.

The semifinals take place tomorrow and followed by a scheduled rest day Sunday and the medal games on Monday.
