NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Anissa Albury made history last week as the only woman and the only Bahamian official at the CONCACAF Beach Soccer Cup right here in New Providence.

Now, she’s on to make more history becoming the first woman and the first Bahamian to be selected to officiate the CONCACAF pre-world cup.

The world cup is scheduled for November of this year in Dubai.

The United States and Mexico will be the countries representing CONCACAF in the tournament.

Meanwhile, professionals from a number of Bahamian banking institutions competed in the inaugural Bankers’ Athletics Association Golf Tournament this past Saturday at the Bailou Hills Golf Course.

The tournament’s format was a 4-man scramble with 36 golfers in total competing.

Global Sun Integration Management’s team took home the trophy and RBC won runner up.

Fran Adderley won closest-to-the-hole winner for the men and Anishka Rolle won for the women.

The tournament also featured golfers from Fidelity Bank, and First Caribbean.
