NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Public servants are outraged as they say the increment negotiated in the industrial agreement never came. This as the public service state minister says the money was paid on time.

The Bahamas Public Services Union president is speaking out as they say a few public servants did not receive the salary increase negotiated in the most recent industrial agreement.

Union president Kimsley Ferguson says he’s not pleased with the way the matter is being handled.

Ferguson says the response was unacceptable.

Meanwhile, these public servants say they need their money.

We put the issue to state minister for the public service minister Pia Glover- Rolle. She says the payment was made on time as agreed to in the industrial agreement.

As for those who may not have received the increase and the M Scale employees and those that may have outstanding queries. She says the labor relations unit is working to sort out those discrepancies.
