NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Long lines and cramped lanes may be a thing of the past for commuters, as more upgrades are coming for a few busy thoroughfares here in New Providence.

The Ministry of Works and Utilities on an aggressive mission to bring some major thoroughfares in New Providence up to standard. Senior Civil Engineer Francis Clarke tells us that several road improvement projects are on the horizon.

Clarke also sharing what’s on tap for the Milo Butler Highway extension project.

Another long-awaited project is the expansion of Gladstone Road into a dual carriage way. The existing road was recently resurfaced, and Clarke explains that advanced work is underway.
