NASSAU, BAHAMAS – An on campus fight that ended in a brutal stabbing was caught on camera and school officials are revealing how they plan on keeping students safe at Anatol Rodgers High School. This, as a 14-year-old student remains in hospital tonight.

A lunch-time brawl among teens at the Anatol Rodgers High School leaving many concerned about on campus safety.

Deputy Director of Technology and Schools Management, Julian v. Anderson, says Anatol Rodgers, like many in the capital, has metal detectors and CCTV coverage throughout the campus.

He says the violent incident was captured on video.

The 14-year-old-boy remains in critical condition after he was stabbed multiple times in the back by another teen on Monday afternoon.

Minister of Education, Glenys Hanna-Martin says they’re also taking advice from the Ministry of National Security. 

We still don’t know the cause of the fight, or how the student was able to either bring the knife onto the campus or get a hold of a knife already on campus. 

But, the education minister says the violent incident, shows things can happen at schools that are not considered high risk.
