Convict Stand Trial For Murder of Psychiatric Patient Cellmate

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A convict accused of beating his cellmate to death has been ordered to stand trial for the murder.

Diallo Williamson, 33, is charged with the murder of Mikhail Miller, a 29-year-old psychiatric patient, who was found dead in cell F2 in the Maximum Security section at the Bahamas Department of Corrections on November 1, 2021.

Prosecutors have served Williamson with a voluntary bill of indictment that fast-tracked his case to the Supreme Court for trial.

Williamson’s arraignment is set for December 2 before Senior Justice Bernard Turner.

Williamson was sentenced to three years’ imprisonment for shop-breaking and stealing on July 14, 2021.

Miller was sentenced to three months’ imprisonment on October 8, 2021 for stealing a phone and tablet from his mother.
