MIAMI, U.S.A. – Deandre Ayton led the Portland Trailblazers to back-to-back wins for just the third time this season.
Ayton finished with 22 points and 15 rebounds in the Blazers’ 116-107 win over the miami heat last night at the Kaseya Center in Miami, Florida
He shot 11-14 from the field and with his 18th double double, finished with his second highest scoring output and third highest rebounding output of the season.
Early in the third, Ayton scored eight points to spark a 21-8 run to give the Blazers a commanding 86-63 lead.
The Blazers log jam at center with Ayton, rookie Donovan Clingan, and Robert Williams iii has led to speculation that Wyton may me moved ahead of the NBA’s February 6 trade deadline.
Portland continues the Florida swing Thursday night when they visit the Orlando Magic.
In the Eastern Conference, Eric Gordon scored nine points in the Philadelphia 76ers’ 144-108 loss to the Denver Nuggets at ball arena in Denver, Colorado
Gordon made 3-4 shots from beyond the arch.
The 76ers lost their 7th consecutive game and are now 2-10 in January.

Sebastian Walcott continues to be featured among the top prospects in the minor leagues.
MLB pipeline is already looking ahead to next season and rolling out its top 100 prospects in the minors.
The full list will be published Friday, but in the positional breakdowns, Walcott was ranked fourth overall among shortstops.
At the position, he was top ranked in hitting power and arm strength.
Last season, the 18-year-old became the youngest Bahamian ever to advance to double-a baseball.
He was named the Rangers’ player of the year in the minor leagues across all levels – from rookie ball to Triple A.
In 118 games with the Hickory Crawdads in high-a, he hit .261 with 10 home runs, 49 rbi, 26 stolen bases and was named a South Atlantic League All Star.
He led the league with 50 extra base hits, including a league leading nine triples.
At the double-A level, he joined the Frisco roughriders for a late season playoff run.
In his brief time with the club, he hit .348 with three doubles and slugged .609.

The UB Mingoes overcame an eight point fourth quarter deficit for a come from behind win in the latest game of their basketball showcase series.
The Mingoes won 72-64 over the airport authority at the Kendal Isaacs Gymnasium.
The Avengers were ahead by one after the first quarter and ahead by seven at the half, 34-27.
Headed into the fourth, trailing by eight, the Mingoes offense finally came alive.
Theodore Grant made a layup to tie the game at 61 and Gregory Cox followed with the go ahead score on the ensuing possession for a 63-61 lead with 2:19 left to play.
Those two layups were a part of a 10-0 run that put the game away for the Mingoes.
Grant was dominant on both ends of the floor with 23 points, 12 assists, eight rebounds, and seven steals.
