NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The only female motorcycle officer on the Royal Bahamas Police Force (RBPF) New Providence Traffic Division is hoping to serve as a source of inspiration for other young women who may aspire to follow in her footsteps and take on roles not often filled by women.

Jasmin Brown has her inspiring story.

Corporal Brittany Rolle is currently the only female motorcycle officer station at the Royal Bahamas Police Force’s Traffic Division.

Rolle, who has been on the force for five years, was transferred to traffic seven months ago after applying for a transfer.

She says it’s a job she always wanted.

Rolle is not the only woman to join the division as a motorcycle cop; several other women have filled the post before her.

She says she knows she has some pretty big shoes to fill.

Family also plays a major part in her approach to the job every day. Rolle says she hopes to be an inspiration to others.
