NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Former Free National Movement Leader and Prime Minister Dr. Hubert Minnis addressing another association meeting despite what some claim are attempts to block him.

Dr. Minnis attempted to send a message of unity at the Mt. Moriah association meeting, Tuesday night.

Despite this charge from the former party leader, a group of FNM’s, believed to be supporters of Dr. Minnis, got into a heated row with Deputy Chairman Don Saunders over claims attempts were made to block Dr. Minnis from addressing association meetings.

Dr. Minnis addressed the FNM’s Garden Hills Association a few weeks ago while FNM Leader Michael Pintard addressed the Centerville Association.

This is the second association meeting he’s addressed and it’s been said he will also speak to the Carmichael meeting.

Addressing party supporters, Dr. Minnis told FNM’s the focus must remain on ousting the current PLP government.

Following his address, the floor was open to questions from supporters.

One supporter who expressed concern that party issues aren’t remaining in-house.

The meeting saw some familiar faces including party Deputy Leader Shannendon Cartwright, former deputy prime minister Desmond Bannister, and former health minister Renward Wells.

Wells also says the FNM is united.
