GRENADA – The Grenadian government has launched a “Free Barrel” program for residents affected by Hurricane Beryl. From July 22, 2024, to December 31, 2024, households can import up to two barrels of food, clothing, and household supplies duty-free. Standard customs procedures apply, but no duties or taxes are required. Importers need to present ID and provide necessary documentation. Exceeding the two-barrel limit will incur regular duties and taxes. False declarations may result in fines and penalties.
