Health Guidelines Relaxed For Cruise Industry
NASSAU, BAHAMAS – COVID guidelines for the cruise ship industry have been relaxed according to Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Tourism Chester Cooper.
NASSAU, BAHAMAS – COVID guidelines for the cruise ship industry have been relaxed according to Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Tourism Chester Cooper, who says The Bahamas has to keep up with its impact on the nation’s number one industry.
Good news for the cruise line industry as Minister of Tourism Chester Cooper says the COVID-19 guidelines have been further relaxed.
Prior to August 22, cruise line passengers were not able to dock in the country unless all passengers 12 and older showed proof they were fully vaccinated. Cooper outlining the new rules which state vaccinated individuals will not be required to take test in order to enter the country.
The tourism minister also explaining the rationale behind loosening the reigns on passengers who enter the country by sea saying, ” We want to ensure that there’s proper monitoring and surveillance of passengers.”
He says The Bahamas remains at the forefront of the industry and the government wants to maintain that position.
