NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The man accused of gunning down a young father on Labour Day is behind bars.

Eighteen-year-old Christopher Newbold is facing a murder charge in the death of 23-year-old Revincent Malcolm on June 5.

Prosecutors say Newbold shot Malcolm multiple times near a track road on Eneas Street.

Malcolm didn’t have to enter a plea to the charge when he made his first appearance before Senior Magistrate Algernon Allen Jr.

Malcolm was remanded to prison and returns to court in October to receive voluntary bill of indictment that will send the case to the supreme court.
