“Publishing Contracts Is A Work In Progress”
NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Financial Secretary Simon Wilson says publishing contract awards is a “work in progress.”
NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Back in April, Financial Secretary Simon Wilson said government would begin publishing contract awards when the reporting capacity of its procurement system is improved.
Wilson telling reporters Tuesday that it’s a work in progress.
The Public Procurement Act mandates the government disclose the name and address of winning contract bidders and the award amount within 60 days of the contract award, among other things.
Wilson says the act came into effect on July 1st.
