NASSAU, BAHAMAS – It was a day fit for queens as the Queens in Action Bahamas Foundation spent the day hosting young ladies of various children’s home to a special love-a-thon weekend tea party.

Founder and Former Miss Bahamas 1993, Richa Sands shares why this has become an annual event for her and the team of queens.

Sands says the day’s focus was all about etiquette and manners.

Caregiver at the Nazareth Center, Santia Young, brought five young ladies to the tea party.

Two of the day’s special invited guests say they were excited to get dressed up in their flowing dresses adorned with pearls and fascinators.

Senior social worker in the Department of Social Services, Charlene Fernander is encouraging more organizations to spend time with children in the various homes.
