NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Voters turned out early at C.V. Bethel Senior High School, where many of them were from the Pinewood constituency.

However, unlike Advanced Poll Day, the atmosphere today was far more organized with shorter lines and quicker wait times.

Coalition of Independents Leader Lincoln Bain says he was pleased with the flow of the process, though he did raise one concern.

Also, then among those braving the heat, a young mother became emotional while speaking about the importance of voting.

Then, at Bahamas Academy High School where South Beach voters cast their ballots, the reviews were much the same where there were shorter lines, smooth movement, and little wait time.

Both FNM candidate Darren Henfield and incumbent PLP candidate Bacchus Rolle commended the process.

Also casting a ballot today was Bahamas Constitution Party Leader Ali McIntosh, which was a notable turn after she challenged this year’s general election in the supreme court.

Today, she also explained why she still decided to vote.

At Jordan Prince Williams High School, the day also started quietly, until an issue later developed on site.

PLP Legal Counsel Lashell Adderley explained to us what was allegedly reported.

However, while Adderley did not name any party involved, FNM Bamboo Town candidate Dr. Duane Sands responded to the allegations.

Additionally, the returning officer confirms a complaint was filed, and that the accused individual was removed from the property.

Despite that incident, returning officers across the south described the day as smooth, orderly, and successful.
