NASSAU, BAHAMAS – It’s one of the biggest events to happen in the life of the country. While not an annual event, whenever it happens, it brings crowds of guests – invited and otherwise.

The opening of parliament – While the ceremony marks the start of a new legislative period, it also becomes the stage for some of our top local designers to get some exposure.

But have you ever wondered what goes into designing the staple pieces for high-ranking government officials and spouses?

Bahamian fashion designer Aryl Burrows is in the process of designing outfits for at least three clients this time.
