UNITED STATES – President Trump says he’s open to cutting tariffs on Chinese goods, just ahead of key trade talks in Switzerland.
UNITED STATES – President Trump says he’s open to cutting tariffs on Chinese goods, just ahead of key trade talks in Switzerland.
He would’ve previously slapped tariffs as high as 145% , which reportedly helped drive China’s exports to the U.S. down more than 20% last month.
While experts expect only minor progress for now, the talks are seen as a step toward easing tensions between the world’s top two economies.
Both sides are still under pressure.
