T&T Education Minister Dies In Fire With Children

TRINIDAD & TOBAGO – Trinidad and Tobago mourning the tragic loss of MP and education minister Lisa Morris-Julian, who died in a house fire Monday along with two of her children.

Authorities say the early-morning blaze gutted their Arima home although her husband and two others survived and are hospitalized.

Morris-Julian, known for her dedication to community and education, is being remembered by local and regional leaders as a kind and selfless leader.

The fire service faced criticism for delays, but officials say they were responding to multiple emergencies.
