Trump Says He Discussed Ending Ukraine War With Russian Pres.

UNITED STATES – Donald Trump said he spoke with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Wednesday about launching immediate negotiations to end the war in Ukraine.

Both leaders agreed to visit each other’s countries, and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed he had an hour-long call with Trump as well.

Trump posted on social media that both Zelensky and Putin are eager for peace, noting they discussed several topics about the conflict that began with Russia’s full-scale invasion in February 2022.

Trump also mentioned that a meeting is set for Friday in Munich, led by Vice President JD Vance and Secretary of State Marco Rubio, and says he’s hopeful it will finally bring an end to the war.
