UNITED STATES – Wall Street took a nosedive Thursday morning after U.S. President Donald Trump slapped tariffs on major trade partners, sparking fears of a global recession.

The DOW plunged over 1,100 points, the S&P 500 dropped more than 3%, and the NASDAQ tumbled nearly 4.5%.
Big brands like Apple, Nike, and Amazon felt the hit, while the White House urged investors to “trust in Trump”.
Meanwhile, leaders from Canada and the UK say they are gearing up for their own retaliatory tariffs.
