NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Meet Ashley Clark, the powerhouse behind two growing businesses in the Bahamas: Ash Vault, a custom apparel brand, and Aless Lash Bar, a beauty service catering to lash lovers.

Clark started her entrepreneurial journey at the age of 15, balancing high school homework with her business endeavors. She even graduated a year early to focus on her ventures.

“I started entrepreneurship when I was 15, so I was still in high school trying to tackle doing homework and doing my business, but I also graduated a year early.”

From her home, she specializes in a variety of products, including t-shirt printing, rose bouquets, glitter, and other custom items. Her best-seller? Senior sets, which are most requested by her clients.

“I print on demand, I do t-shirt printing, I do bouquets, rose bouquets and glitter, all those stuff. My main, my bestseller per se would be my senior sets.”

Behind Ashley’s dedication is a deeply personal motivation. Having lost her mother at the young age of 11, she uses that loss as fuel to drive her success.

“Every morning at 11:00 AM that says do it from mom. She died when I was 11, so it’s just going to be me, my dad, and my sister really.”

With the changing business landscape, particularly due to U.S. tariffs, Ashley is already thinking ahead, sourcing supplies from China and preparing to meet new demands for her businesses.

“I’m trying to expand more into doing, selling more stuff like light chairs, more supply needs for lashes because we don’t have much supplies over here that sells lash supplies.”

Her message to other young Bahamians: start now, but start smart. Balance passion with caution to avoid burnout.

“Do something that you would know you would love to do for years to come. But I’d also say, do not burn out, so do not take on too much more than you can.”
