NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Rising soca superstar, Mical Teja, is captivating audiences around the globe with his electric energy and passion for music.

The Trinidad and Tobago native says he has always had a deep love for music, first launching his career as a writer.

He’s composed songs for several major soca artists, including icons like Destra, Kes, and Machel Montano.

Now, Mical has stepped into a new realm of his career as a bonafide soca artist, taking stages around the world by storm with electrifying performances that invoke powerful feelings of freedom.

“You cannot be a, I’ll use it specifically for Trinidad and Tobago, you cannot be a Trinibagonian soca artist and not be able to perform. That’s a big, big deal for us in Trinidad and Tobago, being able to carry the song and perform the song.”

In 2024, Mical took home the coveted title of Trinidad and Tobago Road March Champion with his hit single, D.N.A.

I got the opportunity to experience the wonder of his performances at a recent event, marveling at his ability to hypnotize a crowd, without the bells and whistles of a big band, synchronized dances, or backup singers.
