NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A viral video circulating shows a shocking crime where reckless drivers mowed down a man who was walking down the street over the weekend.

The crime was not initially reported by police, however today we reached back out to the Police Force’s Traffic Division and they confirmed the crime happened near the Soldier Road and Chenille Avenue intersection.

When we visited the scene this afternoon, we saw cameras mounted on several businesses, and one of them captured the frightening ordeal.

The video shows the victim, who has since been identified as Winchester Robinson, being struck by a speeding car as he’s walking in the road.

As he lay bleeding and injured on the ground, a second vehicle ran over him.

The incident, leaving his stepsister, Nikara Davis who’s miles away in Grand Bahama, traumatized.

Nikara Davis – Stepsister of Winchester Robinson

“When I say that really I felt thrills through my body…and I know it just really hurts me even more to know that none of the vehicles stopped to be honest,” she said.

However, how could something like this happen on one of the island’s busiest streets?

Davis has her own theory of what happened:

“…We see where he’s in the middle of the road and he was walking but also we can see it’s a flood…maybe couldn’t pass the water, maybe he end up in the road to walk pass [from] what I seen on the camera,” Davis said.

Walking in the area today we met Joe, who says he’s seen Robinson in the area many times.

He even showed us an Adidas shoe he says belongs to Robinson, still at the scene just feet from where he was struck.

Joe – Resident

“Treat him like he was dog or an animal, just knock down and just keep moving on like they was nothing[sic]…,” he said.

Meantime, Robinson is still in hospital with four broken ribs, a broken leg and internal bleeding.

She sends this message to the two drivers who left her left her stepbrother on death’s door:

“You can go to the station, even if you call and check…go to the hospital…[even] it happens to our family it can happen to yours,” she says.
