NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The Bahamas Basketball Federation has released a 19-man preliminary roster for the upcoming FIBA AmeriCup Qualifiers in Nicaragua, featuring a blend of seasoned pros and rising stars.

Leading the list is returning NBA forward Kai Jones, joined by veteran players Travis Munnings, Franco Miller Jr., Kentwan Smith, and Kino Burrows, all key contributors to last year’s historic Olympic qualifier run.

NBA player Isaiah Mobley is also set to make his national team debut, joining a frontcourt that includes Tavario Miller, Sammy Hunter, Lathaniel Bastian, Kenny Isnord, Danrad Knowles, and Aaron Levarity.

Backcourt depth is provided by Domnick Bridgewater, Rashad Davis, Garvin Clarke Jr., Godfrey Rolle III, Eron Gordon, Joshua Dames, and Jackson Jacob.

Final roster selections will be made before the tournament, scheduled for August 22–31 in Managua, Nicaragua.

Senior national team member Deyton Albury is giving back with his Ballhead Elite Basketball Camp, aiming to build more than just weekend skills.

Albury plans to stay connected with athletes year-round, offering mentorship, drills, and progress tracking through a future mobile app.

The free camp includes an exclusive Ballhead apparel package and reflects Albury’s commitment to investing in the future of Bahamian basketball as he enters his final collegiate season at the University of New Mexico.

Team Bahamas Finishes Third at Caribbean Junior Golf Championships
Team Bahamas placed third overall at the 37th Caribbean Amateur Junior Golf Championships in Puerto Rico.

The standout performance came from the Girls 15-and-Under division, where Madison Carroll won individual first place and, alongside Hayley Hall, earned a first-place team finish.

Both the Girls and Boys 18-and-Under teams placed third. The Boys 15-and-Under and both Under-13 squads finished fourth.

Notable highlights included hole-in-ones from Maximillian Landry and Rashawn Hanna.
