NASSAU, BAHAMAS – On Wednesday the new home of Baha Mar’s expansion project was blessed, and according to Baha Mar President, Graeme Davis, the new property will strategically sit between the existing SLS and Rosewood properties.

Davis also tells attendees that this groundbreaking signifies confidence in The Bahamas, and in the future of luxury tourism.

This latest expansion will total more than $700 million in investment, reinforcing Baha Mar’s long-term commitment to the destination.

Designed by world-class architecture firm foster and partners, Davis says the property will feature a timeless design – blending luxury with Bahamian culture and natural elements.

The property will also offer more than 35,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting and event space, including two ballrooms.

Davis also says the resort currently employs about 5,000 associates.

Meantime, Prime Minister Philip Davis says the project sends a clear message to the international community, and that The Bahamas’ economy is steady, tourism is growing, and the country is moving in the right direction.

Baha Mar also announces that construction begins Thursday, February 12th, with completion anticipated in 2029.
