NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The trial of three police officers charged with murder in the fatal shooting of Danrico Carey has been set for October 21, 2024.

Prosecutors allege that Officers Archibald Miller Jr., Thomas Thurston Jr., and Lee Dormeus, who were all attached to the Rapid Response Unit, used unjustifiable force when they shot Carey on November 13, 2021 at Matthew Street in Nassau Village.

A fourth officer, Kevin Greenslade Jr, who is accused of causing dangerous harm to Carey in the same incident will be tried with them.

The officers, who are on half-pay and suspended from duty, remain free on $9,500 bail.
