GRAND BAHAMA , BAHAMAS – Free National Movement leader, Michael Pintard, was officially nominated in his constituency, seeking a third consecutive term.

Excitement was in the nation’s second city, Freeport, as Free National Movement leader and Marco City incumbent Michael Pintard was nominated for the general election.

It was a short motorcade from his constituency headquarters, where he completed the process.

With documents in hand and against the roar of the crowd, Pintard described the mood of the movement.

“We are confident that the people will speak, and they will speak for change, and that change will be the Free National Movement. This morning, I am honored to be leading this organization.”

While he said the nomination process went well, he also used the opportunity to highlight another issue.

“The process inside was smoother than people trying to register to vote, and our hearts go out to those who, unfortunately, have struggled with transferring and registering. It has been a difficult process, but we are happy for those who have gotten on the register.”

Pintard has held this seat since 2017, on an island often considered an FNM stronghold.

He said that his record speaks for itself.

“From the time we began in Grand Bahama, we built a relationship with the people. They have embraced me, and I have embraced them. I’m humbled by the support here. These are people who work every day on behalf of Bahamians facing challenges—whether it’s mortgages, rent, food, education, or medical needs. I’m honored to be working with a team that serves every Bahamian.”
