NASSAU, BAHAMAS – How does a Pintard administration plan to govern if they are elected as the next government of the Bahamas? It’s a question many of you still continue to consider.

Michael Pintard – Leader, Free National Movement

“What you have heard tonight is not merely a list of promises, it is a commitment, a contract, a contract between me, a contract between this dynamic team and every Bahamian who’s ready for a government that truly works for them.”

That was leader of the Free National Movement, Michael Pintard, during the launch of the party’s manifesto in preparation for the May 12th general election.

Pintard emphasized that should the FNM be elected to govern under his leadership, their priorities will include strengthening family and social support, where they will provide $200 per month in child support for the first two years of life to qualifying Bahamians.

This also includes removing V.A.T on all everyday essentials, medical costs and educational supplies, and expanding Bahamian ownership of the tourism sector while adjusting the relationship with cruise lines to deliver greater benefits for Bahamians.

According to Pintard, an administration under his leadership also includes improving the country’s healthcare system and youth development, and other initiatives.

He also says the FNM also intends to create a national lottery to finance these programs.

Additionally, Pintard suggested that his administration will function with transparency, committing to implement the 2017 Freedom of Information Act within the first year of taking office.
