WORLD NEWS – In 1925, former United Kingdom Prime Minster Margaret Thacher was born. She died on April 8, 2013 at 88.

Infamously known as the Iron Lady, Thatcher was Europe’s first woman prime minister and the only British prime minister in the 20th century to win three consecutive terms.

Upon her resignation she was Britain’s longest-continuously serving prime minister since 1827, and the most renowned British political leader since Winston Churchill.


In 2012, the space shuttle Endeavour completing a two-day cross-country trek to California Science Center in Los Angeles.
