NASSAU, BAHAMAS – As the sun took its daily rest, the Baha Mar Resort came alive – celebrity chef Marcus Samuelsson welcoming hundreds of residents and tourists to the first Culinary & Arts Festival.

The weekend of events boasts unique culinary and cultural experiences, from exclusive dinners and tastings with master chefs to intimate cultural conversations made possible by a cast of world-renowned Bahamian and international chefs, artists, and performers.

Chef Marcus Samuelsson says this is only the beginning of big things for the festival and The Bahamas.

Guests enjoyed food and drinks from various chefs and danced to their hearts’ content to the sounds of DJ Tank and a taste of Junkanoo courtesy of the Valley Boys.

Meanwhile, the night’s featured act Boyz II Men took the stage. The 4-time Grammy-winning group telling us they were excited to perform for their fans – still going strong after 31 years.

And when they took to the stage, they did not disappoint – fans singing along as the group performed some of their biggest hits and covers of chart-toppers from Bob Marley, Frankie Beverley and Maze, and Bruno Mars. The group is far from the end of the road.

Ceron and Tyrina Rolle share their highlights from the night while, restaurateur Tiffany Johnson-Thompson encourages you to catch next year’s event.

If this is any indication of things to come, Marcus Samuelsson is well on his way to making The Bahamas the premier culinary and art destination in the world.
