NASSAU, BAHAMAS – It’s been over a decade since Youth Month included a youth debate in the Senate. This week the upper chamber welcomed the debaters back.

The session saw some of the next generation of Bahamian politicians debate crime and educational reform.

It was based on resolutions passed by youth parliamentarians in the house last week.

Youth Senator Jayson Braynen brought up the parallel between education issues of Bahamians and what he calls “The overqualified and the underpaid”.
