BRAZIL – Brazil’s President-Elect Luiz Iancio Lula da Silva arriving in Brazil, Thursday, to begin the transfer of power as the protests die down from supporters of the incumbent Jair Bolsonaro.

Lawmakers, including the vice president, arrived at congress to begin working on a budget proposal.

They are being asked to consider a measure to allow future spending the new administration considers essential.

Meanwhile, President Bolsonaro has finally asked the truckers, blocking roads nationwide, to clear the blockades as many of his supporters call for military intervention to overturn the elections.
