Sophia Moore, owner of Moore’s Jewelry Designs, says this holiday season, sales went up for her business and it appears locals are shopping at home.

Miss D’s sells handmade straw bags, hats, dolls and more owner Tia Beckford says she too has seen positive results this holiday season.

Business owners say handmade items are one of kind, and shoppers should take advantage of local talent.
