GRAND BAHAMA, BAHAMAS – A case of suspected human smuggling gone wrong in waters off West End, Grand Bahama, Monday afternoon.

Our News obtained the clip showing Bahamians and migrants being brought ashore.

We are told that several Bahamians and illegal migrants are now in custody.

Our News understand 21 people were onboard the vessel and six are said to be Bahamians. We also understand that it was a Bahamian who made a call to authorities once the vessel began taking on water.

Police Press Liaison Officer ASP Stephen Rolle confirmed one person was taken to hospital for medical treatment and there were no reported deaths.
