A talk show host, economist and former minister, who at some time the led our negotiator, holds little hope about the future of The Bahamas’ membership.
According to Zhivargo Laing’s recollection, the process for The Bahamas to join WTO started in 2001. He describes it as one of the longest ascensions to the WTO.
As one-time chief negotiator, Laing doesn’t hold much hope of us joining now, or in the future.
