NASSAU, BAHAMAS – It may look like an average firearm but it’s not. A gun made of 3D printed parts was used in a recent armed robbery, according to police.

A worry for police is the fact that 3D printed guns lack serial numbers, making them impossible to trace.

Chief Superintendent Earl Thompson made the comments at Police Headquarters on Wednesday.

Also displayed for media were 50 of the nearly 400 firearms confiscated last year. They included handguns and high-powered assault rifles.
