NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The Bahamas CARIFTA track and field team is ready for the 2023 games.

They are known as the Golden team, or the G-Team, for short the 80-member team that will be representing Team Bahamas at the 50th CARIFTA Games getting a pep talk last night at the Cultural Village on the eastern side of the national stadium. 

Prime Minister, Philip Davis And Minister Of Youth Sports And Culture, Mario Bowleg addressed the team.

The stars of the evening – the athletes – these team members say they are anxious, but confident and they are particularly happy that the games will be held here at home. 

The CARIFTA Games are slated for the Easter weekend beginning with the opening ceremonies on April 7.
