Bah. To Host International Road Conference

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The Bahamas is set to host, for the first time, the 11th International Road Federation Conference.

The federation has members in more than 70 countries.

Deputy Director of Civil Work in the Ministry of Works Damien Francis, noting the conference will focus on issues including road construction and design as well as reducing the number of traffic fatalities globally.

Climate change and its impacts on road networks will also be discussed.

Another issue impacting the road networks here at home, the drainage system.

The conference will he held June 13th through the 16th.
