GRAND BAHAMA, BAHAMAS – It’s been one week since officers in Grand Bahama have been equipped with the shotspotter technology. Inspector Bryant Outten says it’s a major crime fighting tool.

Two hundred body-cams have been distributed to officers in Grand Bahama. 

Inspector Bryant Outten says when officers are on duty their body cams will always be on and always be  monitored. 

He says it’s also important for the public to know once you come in contact with a police officer,  you will be recorded.

He’s also detailing how shotspotter technology detects gunfire and says they are in fixed locations across Grand Bahama.

The police inspector says the shotspotter technology fills the gap.
