NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A new partnership between the Ministry of Agriculture, Marine Resources, and Family Island Affairs along with the Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of Hunan province China now in the works.

A Memorandum of Understanding was signed and officials say it will allow two experts from China to reside in The Bahamas to construct greenhouses on Gladstone Road. 

Chinese ambassador to The Bahamas Her Excellency Dai Qingli says the partnership will assist with food security.

Agriculture Minister Clay Sweeting also shared that local farmers and residents will be involved in the construction and technical process.
