NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The privatisation of the Bahamas Telecommunication Corporation in 2011 dominated headlines with the deal being finalised on April 6th of that year.
NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The privatisation of the Bahamas Telecommunication Corporation in 2011 dominated headlines with the deal being finalised on April 6th of that year.
At the time, former Bahamas Communication and Public Officers Union President Shane Gibson led a protest against the move.
Over a decade later when asked if he regrets his stance on the matter, Gibson says he was against the way it was done, not the move.
The issue Gibson says was with the amount of foreign involvement the company had and continues to have to this day.
