Police Commissioner: We Have To Protect Our Tourism Product
NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Downtown will see a bump in police presence, according to Commissioner of Police Clayton Fernander, who says there will be zero tolerance for crime when it comes to the bustling tourist hot spot.
NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Downtown will see a bump in police presence, according to Commissioner of Police Clayton Fernander, who says there will be zero tolerance for crime when it comes to the bustling tourist hot spot.
Fernander insists the country’s tourism product must be protected.
It came during his address to police recruits duringThursday’s passing out ceremony.
The commissioner announcing a select few of the recruits were trained to combat crime in the downtown area.
In addition to manpower, they’re also getting new vehicles.
Fernander also reminding the new constables of the important role they have in the fight against crime.
