NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Former Bahamas Marijuana Commission Co-Chair Bishop Simeon Hall says while he does not promote marijuana, he says he’s glad government took the commissioner’s recommendation regarding the medicinal use of the drug.

Bishop Hall questions the strong opposition to marijuana given the fact that alcohol destroys more families.

He says it’s worth having a discussion.

Hall came under heavy criticism from many including his fellow clergyman for serving on the commission.

His comments come after government released a compendium of legislation on the matter for public consultation.

The conversation has been around for quite some time.
