Turtlegrass Resort – An Eco-tourist Paradise
EXUMA, BAHAMAS – In 1993, Bob Coughlin fell in love with The Bahamas on his very first visit. And now, the American entrepreneur is getting set to open the multi-million dollar Turtlegrass Resort on Sampson Cay.
EXUMA, BAHAMAS – In 1993, Bob Coughlin fell in love with The Bahamas on his very first visit. And now, the American entrepreneur is getting set to open the multi-million dollar Turtlegrass Resort on Sampson Cay.
Still three years away from operating, at an estimated 60 to 75 million price tag, Coughlin expects to complete phase one with three new cottages and infrastructure within the next 15 months.
There are currently eight Bahamians fully employed, with the hope at least 20 people on staff.
A project of this magnitude requires some key players to get things off the ground, especially those known to the island, like Design Architect Lauren Mitchell, who grew up on little Sampson Cay.
The intention is for the entire project to be powered by renewable energy, specifically solar.
