NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Progressive Liberal Party Convention Co-Chair Quinton Lightbourne says many issues will be up for discussion for party delegates during the convention slated for Thursday and Friday.

While those will be discussed in closed sessions, there will also be other party-related topics as well.

So far, Lightbourne says over 1,000 people have already registered and they’re expecting more Family Islanders to arrive today and tomorrow.

They’re expecting over 2,000 PLP supporters.

When Our News visited the Baha Mar Convention Center Wednesday morning, the ballroom was getting some finishing touches for the event.

The convention will see the hot race for chairman between incumbent Fred Mitchell and Robyn Lynes.

We asked Lighbourne if they’re prepared for any contention during the election process.
