Witness: Gibson Was Involved In “Day-To-Day Decision Making”

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Adrian Gibson, the former executive chairman at the Water and Sewerage Corporation, was involved in the organization’s “day-to-day decision making”, a Supreme Court jury heard.

Gibson, the Free National Movement MP for Long Island, is accused of illegally receiving $1.25 million from contracts awarded by the corporation during his tenure as chairman.

According to prosecution witness, Mynez Cargill-Sherman, Gibson’s conduct as executive chairman was a departure from the norm.

Cargill-Sherman has previously testified that Gibson directed that maintenance contracts be awarded to new vendors.

She testified that she was reassigned to another department by then general manager Elwood Donaldson Jr after she refused to pay the new vendors.

Gibson is on trial alongside Donaldson, his cousin Rashae Gibson, Jerome Missick, Peaches Farquharson and Joann Knowles.
