NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A hero until the very end, even on life support, Inspector Thomas McIntosh is giving back, his family approving the donation of his organs.
NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A hero until the very end, even on life support, Inspector Thomas McIntosh is giving back, his family approving the donation of his organs.
Mcintosh, who was once a police aide to former national security minister Marvin Dames, was severely injured in a traffic accident last week. He was declared dead several days ago but was finally taken off life support.
Physicians at Doctors Hospital, where McIntosh spent his last days, say his sacrifice will save many lives.
President and CEO of Doctors Hospital Dr. Charles Diggiss says while the circumstances are sad, it gives others hope.
Deputy Commissioner of Police Leomand Deleveaux says the decision to donate spoke to McIntosh’s character.
