Team Bahamas Maintains Lead On Day Two
NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Heading into day two, The Bahamas maintained a lead over the other countries participating in the 37th edition of the CARIFTA Aquatics Championship.
NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Heading into day two, The Bahamas maintained a lead over the other countries participating in the 37th edition of the CARIFTA Aquatics Championship.
But let’s backtrack a bit to wrap up day one. The Bahamas took home a total of 22 medals – 7 gold, nine silver and six bronze.
Picking up the country’s first medal was William Farrington who secured a bronze in the boys 13-171500m free.
The first gold medal for team Bahamas went to first-timer and Grand Bahamian Isabella Cucurullo in the girls 11-12 200m breast.
The first silver medal went to Christon Joseph in the boys 11-12 200m breast.
Picking up three silvers on the night was team captain Marvin Johnson.
